Please review the file requirements for your artwork/files below to ensure there are no delays prior to submitting a printing quote request. Please follow step #4 to receive a print quote.
HOW TO PREPARE YOUR FILES FOR PRINTING
Cards & Pockets offers printing services for ready-to-print .PDF files (.pdf) only. All fonts/text in your design/file must be outlined or embedded or your fonts will not print the way you view them on your personal computer.
GENERAL GUIDELINES
#1: Please convert all measurements to inches.
#2: Determine if your file(s) require a "full bleed".
"Full Bleed" designs have arwork, text, etc. that extends to the very edge of the final cut piece. If you have a design that appears to extend off the edge of your piece, your file requires a "full bleed".
IF YOUR FILE(S) DOES NOT REQUIRE A FULL BLEED:
Please make sure your artboard or final .pdf document are sized to the exact size of your desired final piece. For example, a 3.5"x5" RSVP card needs a file that is sized 3.5"x5".
Also, please make sure your file includes an 1/8" margin of blank space (within the 3.5"x5" file/design). This will ensure that no essential content will be trimmed off, or cut too close to the edge.
IF YOUR FILE(S) DOES REQUIRE A FULL BLEED:
Please make sure your file/arwork includes an extra 1/8" on all four sides. For example, a 3.5x5 RSVP card that requires a "full bleed" should be sized to 3.75"x5.25". The artwork and/or text that should extend to the edge of the cut piece must extend the full, extra 1/8"(to the edge of the file) so we can cut into your artwork for a perfect, "full bleed" appearance.
#3: FILES MUST BE PRINT READY
All fonts, colors, layouts, graphics, dimensions, etc. will print exactly as they are submitted (so long as your text/fonts are all embedded). All text must be embedded to preserve the fonts you have chosen for your designs or they may appear to us and print in default fonts. We cannot change colors, edit CMYK codes, format artwork, substitute fonts, or make any other changes to your artwork at this time. We are creating a process for basic formatting in the near future.
Please design your files in CMYK which is standard for printing. RGB is a web-based system for web viewing and if you design in RGB the printed color may be very distorted. This also applies to saving your files, please make sure you do not at any point convert your file to RGB, this will change your colors even if it is converted back to CMYK at a later time.
Be prepared to submit the final cut size, quantities, and paper choice for an accurate price quote, as well as any additional files needed for double-sided items.

#4: When your files are ready to print, please attach your files to an email and send to .
In order for us to calculate a quote for you, please include the quantity, exact cut dimensions, paper choice, as well as if the printing is Black & White or Color for each piece.
If you need anything to be double-sided, such as an RSVP postcard, or if your files require a "full bleed", or a fold/score, please also include this in your email (for each piece it applies to) as additional charges are incurred.
